IT System Analyst Pima County DOT (Now Central IT), Tucson, AZ 2/2006 - 9/2011
As an IT Systems Analyst, I designed and developed applications for use by Pima County employees and contractors. I designed the Materials Lab Management System. Through this application I automated a manual process by creating a database and web-based application to collect results of road, rebar, and concrete sampling data allowing contractors to log in to see the test results rather than request manual reports. I created database applications with web interfaces according to customer specifications to upgrade and improve current work processes. Programming examples include: ETMS (Enterprise Training Management System) and Pavement Management. Most applications use SQL Server as the database. Projects required proficiency in Visual Studio 2005 and 2008, C#.NET and SQL Server Reporting Service (SSRS). Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS) was the software used to work with these reports.

Application Development Spec. ReBuilder Medical Inc, Charles Town, WV 5/2004 - 10/2005
As an Application Development Specialist and Database Administrator I was brought in to automate and streamline the business processes with the exception of accounting. I created a database that manages the business processes and captures sales information by importing data from the shopping cart on the web. The automated process allows for tracking of sales, trends, product groups, and demographic information.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Website design and maintenance including: managing the web and the products available for sale
  • Setting up Google Search Criteria, a Wells Fargo integrated shopping cart, surveys and data tracking.
  • LAN system setup, installed software, and provided hardware installation, maintenance and troubleshooting.

Program Specialist III Jefferson County Public Schools, Louisville, KY 10/1997 – 5/2004
As a data systems analyst and database administrator, I wrote programs in Access to maintain, analyze and present physical health information data on 25,000 public and private school students.I designed, developed, and maintained our website that included secure logins, and interactive databases. I maintained all content and programs on the site. The site is 508 compliant. I was responsible for the research and evaluation committee. I set up meetings and worked with various members of the community including doctors, university professors, nurses, and research professionals. This committee determined what assessments would be used, and how to provide reports to schools and the general community.
